The Padstow Seafood School

Maureen recently combined a holiday in sunny Cornwall with a two day Seafood and Sushi course at the famous Rick Stein's Seafood Cookery School. 

"This was an excellent course which I thorougly enjoyed and can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone, whatever their cooking skills.The school was excellently equipped and the teachers/chefs were terrific.  Everyone was very helpful and there was a lovely friendly atmosphere. 

Apart from learning a lot of new skills, you get to eat all the recipes you cook, which were all delicious and around 12 noon the wine comes out to help wash all the wonderful food down.  Which means you continue in this thorougly civilised and happy manner for the rest of the day.

Each evening my husband (who had been exploring the area whilst I was in the school), rounded off our day by eating out in each of Rick Stein's restaurants in turn.  What a joy!  We shall certainly be returning to pretty Padstow again soon.

If there was a disappointment, it was only that Rick didn't pop his head in the door to say "Hi" - but hey! - there's always next year!"
